You know what sucks?

Pimples.

And according to American Academy of Dermatology, 85% of people between the ages of 12 – 24 experience pimples.

Including me.

And what do you do when these annoying zits appear?

Desperately Google, “How To Get Rid Of Pimples Fast.”

And what pops up?

Some hocus pocus spells that are guaranteed to get rid of pimples if you chant them in your mirror while rubbing some zit cream on.

And yet, the embarrassing chant doesn’t make your pimples go away.

But fear no more because I am here to give you my favorite do’s and don’ts you can do right now to get rid of pimples.

DO’S & DON’TS TO REMOVING YOUR PIMPLES ASAP

1. DO Apply Crushed Aspirin Paste To Your Pimple

This miracle pimple paste will dry out your zit while also reducing the swelling and redness of your pimple.

Aspirin contains salicylic acid which is a pimples number one enemy (HALLELUJAH)!

And making this Aspirin paste is a lot simpler than you might think.

All you need to do to make this paste is…

  • Crush one Aspirin (I prefer to use a spoon)
  • Add a few drops of water
  • Mix together the Aspirin and water to forum a paste

It’s that simple!

Once you have your miracle pimple paste made, just apply it directly on that pesky zit and remove it once the paste has dried on your skin.

2. DON’T Overdry The Pimple

I made this mistake a lot when I tried to get rid of pimples in the past.

I would apply several zit creams and even some toothpaste hoping it would make the pimple vanish.

And…it didn’t work.

Neal Schultz, M.D., a Manhattan dermatologist, stated “…the active ingredient irritates the skin, making it scaly and flaky and red.”

To stop your skin from irritation, use a weaker pimple cream on the affected area.

3. DO Ice The Pimple

Reduce the swelling and redness of your pimple with an ice cube.

All you need to do for this little trick is…

  • Take a piece of ice
  • Wrap it in something thin (I like to use a paper towel)
  • Sit with the ice cube pressed against the zit for a few minutes

If the redness or swelling of the zit comes backs, don’t panic.

Just repeat this process.

4. DON’T Pick Your Face (EVER!)

We have all heard of Dr. Pimple Popper, but just because she can do it doesn’t mean you can!

She is a professional and knows how to properly pinch a zit.

Picking at your pimples will cause more harm than good if you don’t do it the right way.

Just to name a few of the dangers you can cause from picking your face: inflammation, scaring, and infection.

Trust me, in the long run, it’s not worth it.

5. DO Skip Out On The Toner

Just like adding too much acne cream to your pimple (see #2), adding toner to the affected area will cause your skin to become red and irritated.

If you have VERY oily skin, it is okay to apply your toner all over your face, but if don’t have oily skin, avoid the zit.

And last, but certainly not least…

6. DON’T Trust Every DIY Hack Out There

Yes it can be tempting to try every DIY out there that claims to get rid of pimples instantly, and some can but don’t believe them all.

But, if you are on a budget or in a hurry, check out these 11 Genius Skin Care Tips Found On Reddit That Actually Work AND are dermatologist approved!

So there you have it.

You finally know the do’s and don’ts of how to remove pimples fast.

No more last minute panicking when a pesky pimple pops up (thats a tongue twister lol).
